Mr. Trinh Tien Tinh
Mr. Trinh arrived in the United States as a Vietnamese refugee in 1975. He currently serves as the Flight Hardware Project Engineer at Wyle Laboratories, Ltd., Houston, Texas, a contractor of National Areospace Agency (NASA). Mr. Tinh Trinh is one of the founders of the Vietnamese Culture and Science Association in1990. He also has been instrumental in the establishment of the organization and an active member of VCSA in the last fifteen years. He has also been very active with Church activities. He has served as the Chairman of the Parish Council and Chairman of the Financial committee at Vietnamese Martyrs Church, Houston, Texas for several years (1995-2002). Mr. Tinh Trinh is a well-known scientist with the invention of the Rotating Wall Bio-Reactor. With this invention, he was recognized as “Inventor of the Year” by NASA in 1992 in Washington DC. His invention has contributed significantly to the advancement of biology and medical science. Mr. Trinh is also known as great problem solver. He has been instrumental in helping with VCSA National Youth Leadership Development camp in the past several years. He was the Chief Technologist (head of the Technical Team and Camp Gate Building) for the Camp Len Duong in 2002, 2003 and 2004. Not only Mr. Trinh is community activist, so are his daughters. He has two daughters who are also very active members of VCSA and all of his five children speak Vietnamese fluently and very active at their church although all of them were born in the United States.
